NSW English Syllabus K-6 Spelling: Unpacking the Outcomes and Content

In this workshop, Dr Tessa Daffern will share practical examples of what it looks like for a student to demonstrate achievement of each content point. In doing so, she will unpack the expected progression of learning for spelling. The new syllabus requires teachers to understand the metalanguage associated with spelling, and this workshop provides the ideal opportunity for primary school teachers in NSW to participate by asking questions that are specific to this focus area of the new NSW English syllabus.

Target audience: primary school teachers and school leaders
