USING THE BOOK
Print all pages or selected relevant pages in the book for students to use. Collate the printed pages into a spiral bound workbook for your students to use.
Students then use this resource to create their own personalised reference book by systematically recording some of the words they are learning.
This resource includes graphemes for the initial phonics code with some extended graphemes plus morphological concepts (common prefixes and suffixes). The pages in this book include coloured dotted third lines to support handwriting development.
Students may record the same word in multiple places throughout the book to review different grapheme-phoneme correspondences and morphological skills.
This book is suitable for students in the first 3 years of school.
