Schools can order online or email to request an invoice.

Suggested Spelling assessment schedule using the CoSTEY and CoST

Option A   |   Option B

Two suggested yearly assessment schedules are provided as a guide: Option A and Option B. Schools may select Option A or Option B for a yearly assessment schedule that best suits their unique school context.

In Option A, the CoSTEY component assessments for Year 1 and Year 2 are more spread out than they are in Option B. Also, the Pseudo-word component tests for Years 3 to 6 are more spread out in Option A.

For some school contexts, Option A may be more manageable and appropriate than Option B. For all schools, it is important to implement a consistent assessment schedule each year.

Note: Price Changes April 2025

In April 2025, the CoST and CoSTEY manual licensing model will change from the current hard copy manuals to electronic versions (PDF eBooks) accessible via the Dashboard. Print manuals will still be available to order as a supplement to the e-Versions. This change is being introduced to allow updated material to be immediately available to all users and also manage costs due to rapidly increasing print and postage costs.
