The CoSTEY and CoST Teacher Dashboards provide tailored spelling activities for each student in your class based on automated Assessment error analysis. This innovative and comprehensive suite of research-based activities is directly mapped from the CoSTEY/CoST error analysis data for your class.

The Components of Spelling Test Learning Management System provides busy teachers a reliable and complete analysis of students’ spelling errors and a detailed class report, designed to assist teachers to plan and deliver differentiated and systematic teaching of spelling.

Note: Each class accessing these digital resources is required to have the accompanying manual.

Suggested Spelling assessment schedule using the CoSTEY and CoST

Option A   |   Option B

Two suggested yearly assessment schedules are provided as a guide: Option A and Option B. Schools may select Option A or Option B for a yearly assessment schedule that best suits their unique school context.

In Option A, the CoSTEY component assessments for Year 1 and Year 2 are more spread out than they are in Option B. Also, the Pseudo-word component tests for Years 3 to 6 are more spread out in Option A.

For some school contexts, Option A may be more manageable and appropriate than Option B. For all schools, it is important to implement a consistent assessment schedule each year.
